| Holly is in a stressful environment and is not really dealing with it well. This doesn't mean she is a bad dog, she just doesn't know what to do in a place as noisy and as scary as the pound. She doesn't like being locked up and why should she. She's worried but she's an exceptionally loving dog. You can just tell when you meet her that she has a huge heart, even in her confusion about finding herself here. Will someone consider giving her the second chance that she deserves. She seems to have it all, looks and brains but all she needs is a home. in kennel 20, needs out Saturday 10th March. If interested in adopting phone pound on 01 8026676. It is so difficult to judge a dog that is in a kennel. Henry seems worried and indeed he's unsure of the camera, but doesn't he have the most kissable and smooshy face ever! How can a person resist such a bug mushy head. He is friendly and playful and delighted to be outside of his four walls. I fell in love with his brown nose but that won't save him. He needs someone to come get him if his right...ful owners don't. I have a feeling that his girlfriend is next door as when she spotted him outside she cried for him. This is a gorgeous boy but he's no real chance of getting out of here anytime soon without some serious networking so please don't forget to share. In kennel 19. Needs out Saturday 10th March. Call pound on 01 8026676 if interested in adopting. | |

| the real reason most ppl give up dogs to the pound is that a pet is too much responsibility for them, a 15kg bag of dog food = 10euro, that would last that dog at least 2 weeks if given exact weighed portions as christy said
the bullshit excuse is often that they can't afford a dog, but they can afford cigarettes, alchohol and nights out !
call a spade a spade !
if someone is honest and say , "Look , I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, but now that the dogs is 2 years old and is a lot more responsibility than I first realised, I just can't manage him!", I think most ppl would say fair enough, we'll do our best to help find him a good home
but the "I can't afford it " line is usually a load of bs

| I would imagine Caren didn't put Milo up here because she didn't want to hear our opinions on it.. I think she said something about his food costing €50 a week.. AFAIK he had the same skin issues Louie does but the Burgess Supadog costs about 30squids and lasts a good 3 weeks! | |

| Classic example of the type of owner the breed can do without. The type of person who don't do their homwork on the breed and get's a dog on a whim or as a result of the media stories.
It's a shame there are so many shitty breeders who don't care about the breed and churn out pup's to sell to anyone who turn's up with the cash.

| I don't think this should be turned into a bitchin session but IMO I would reHOME the dog if I was her, as in giving him to someone who is going to keep him for life not to a pound.. don't know how anyone can dump their dog in a shelter | |

| Sometime's there are valid resson's why people have to part with their dog's. But in this case we know the excuse for giving him up is flimsy at best. I think people do have a right to bitch and moan when a current member dosen't offer the dog for adoption, instead of dumping it like a peice of unwanted garbage at the pound. Where we all know the treatment and fate that await's the majority of these dog's in such place's. | |

| times like this i wish the mother would just give in and let me have a pit ... and as for caren coming on now i doubt it if she couldnt offer the dog up on here and take the abuse and have a slight chance of getting him a home forever i dont think she"ll come on now and take the abuse when hes in the pound unless she has a proper valid reason and they seem to be slack with people now adays | |
