Glad to see your researching and not rushing out and buying the first mutt you see advertised as a pit. Attend a few show's and try to talk to some experianced people and if possible go and see their dog's. And when you are ready to get one go to a genuine breeder, not some BYB who just happened to breed his gyp to his buddies dog down the road.

rite job...these dogs are hard work man..your on constant alert with them.. no nice walks on the beach off lead or playing fetch down the park..once you know this before you get one then its no problem..they are very unsocial with other dogs and most time will take any chance they get to get at a strange dog..and in my opinion it doesnt matter if they are raised in a loving family home and you socialised it with every dog in your area. they are what they are. we have heard so many stories that all start with "I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED HE WAS ALWAYS GREAT WITH DOGS, WE RAISED HIM RIGHT" so just a heads up for what your getting into.. Very Happy
