| Glad to see your researching and not rushing out and buying the first mutt you see advertised as a pit. Attend a few show's and try to talk to some experianced people and if possible go and see their dog's. And when you are ready to get one go to a genuine breeder, not some BYB who just happened to breed his gyp to his buddies dog down the road. | |

| rite job...these dogs are hard work man..your on constant alert with them.. no nice walks on the beach off lead or playing fetch down the park..once you know this before you get one then its no problem..they are very unsocial with other dogs and most time will take any chance they get to get at a strange dog..and in my opinion it doesnt matter if they are raised in a loving family home and you socialised it with every dog in your area. they are what they are. we have heard so many stories that all start with "I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED HE WAS ALWAYS GREAT WITH DOGS, WE RAISED HIM RIGHT" so just a heads up for what your getting into.. | |

good bit of advice there,yeah deffo want to know exactly what i will have to deal with and i don't mind the work or effort involved,also my job allows me to be home a lot so i can give the attention needed | |

| some owners on here does athletics with their dogs , if you could get to a meeting sometime you will be able to get a lot of questions answered and meet a lot of dogs, someone on here will tell you where and when the meetings are on | |
